The live art show opens a 3-day weekend of CAPE 3 festivities. CAPE features over 60 national, local and international comic guests in an indoor/outdoor setting in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, May 5th, 2007. Its purpose is to celebrate the comic art form while attracting new readers, including an outreach to children.

<p>
The event, in its third year and is hosted by Zeus Comics, Popsyndicate.com, and PVPonline.com. Recently, the City of Dallas issued a second proclamation declaring this year’s event on May 5, 2007 as “Free Comic Book Day” in Dallas in honor of CAPE.

About Child’s Play
<br />
Child’s Play is a non-profit organization begun in 2003 by Gabe and Tycho, the creators of the Penny Arcade comic strip, as a way to help sick children
<br />
and show the world the softer side of people who play videogames. Through the generosity of gamers and the videogame industry, Child’s Play has raised over two million dollars in toys, games and cash for sick children through an ongoing online toy drive and annual charity auction. Now in its fourth year, Child’s Play is developing a worldwide network of beneficiary Children’s Hospitals in order to brighten hospital stays for children internationally.
